𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙨? Pupils who have been educated in Asia, following a local curriculum, may find that there are significant differences to British education.
𝘼 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 British schools, with pupils entering aged 13+, use the pupil’s initial year, Year 9, as a period of transition. The majority of pupils, educated within British preparatory schools, will be well-prepared for a curriculum moving towards GCSE examinations. However, overseas pupils can experience some difficulties switching educational systems.
𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙖 𝙏𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 Minerva has experience of preparing pupils for the demands of British education. Individual online lessons prepare pupils for subjects they may not be familiar with or lessons that have a change of emphasis.
