Whether your notes are on a hard drive or paper make sure that they are easily accessible logical and tidy.

Make sure you understand the form of assessment you are studying for. Take time to look at the content and style of questions for each paper. Familiarise yourself with the mark scheme for coursework.

Make the most of those spare 10 minute slots, travelling to school, waiting for the next lesson. Small chunks of revision are an effective way of learning.

Make studying active and effective. Don’t just read notes and highlight. Plan answers and write answers.

Use paraphrasing. Take difficult sections from a text-book and rewrite them in your own words.
